Like quite a few others, I use and suggest GoDaddy and Digital Ocean to my clients as well as for my own use. One of the things I end up working on is moving the nameservers from GoDaddy to Digital Ocean.
  • Log into your GoDaddy account: https://www.godaddy.com/
  • Click: https://account.godaddy.com/products
  • Click on the domain name we are changing
  • Find and click “DNS” tab under the domain we are changing
  • New tabs will appear; find and click “Nameservers”
  • Click the “Change Nameservers” button on the right side of the screen
  • Select the “I’ll use my own nameservers” radio button
  • Use the following:
    • ns1.digitalocean.com
    • ns2.digitalocean.com
    • ns3.digitalocean.com
  • Click the “Save” button
  • You can now log out of GoDaddy
GoDaddy had a help post that led me to my solution.
